Eone was founded on 2013 on the sole aim of helping visually impaired individuals look good and tell the time without sight. We believe in inclusive design and that everyone has the "right to time". Our Eone Bradley timepiece does exactly this. Here is a Ted Talk from founder:
Eone is a company on a mission to support organizations and initiatives aligned with our values. Giving back is in our DNA and has been a part of what we do from the beginning. We’re thankful for our success, and we believe in paying it forward. We partner with The Seeing Eye and Kilimanjaro Blind Trust to promote accessibility, independence, and confidence, and provide resources for people with visual impairments around the world.
The Bradley timepiece is a sleek, modern watch you can both touch and see to tell time. Designed in collaboration with people who are blind, we’ve reinvented the wristwatch so that more people can tell time. Tell time by touch with raised hour markers and two magnetized ball bearings — one for the minute and one for the hour. Simply run your finger over the raised markers, feeling where the ball bearings are located. If either ball bearing moves out of place, shake your wrist and they will snap back to the correct locations. Discreetly check the time during meetings or in dark movie theatres. And for people with vision impairments, the Bradley is a better solution to intrusive talking watches or fragile, inaccurate tactile watches. No matter your situation, the Bradley is a better timepiece for everyone.
